Microsoft’s Azure Response to Amazon Gov Cloud

Microsoft recently responded to Amazon which has made in-roads into the federal cloud market for the last several years. Microsoft has announced the U.S. general availability of Microsoft Azure Government and upcoming availability of Dynamics CRM Online for Government. With these offerings together with Office 365 Government, Microsoft hopes to provide a complete cloud US government customers.

US Federal government started focusing on cloud since the first Federal CIO Vivek Kundra announced the ‘Cloud First’ mandate. It will be interesting to see how the top cloud providers enable government agencies to move to the cloud over the coming years.
